Earth Action Forum

The Earth Action Forum is a flagship initiative under the ASCOA Environmental Action Hub (AS-ENACT), designed to empower individuals and communities to take practical environmental action.

The 2026 edition focuses on strengthening community-led solutions by providing training in waste management, pollution control, environmental leadership, and the use of data and storytelling to support sustainable development.

Through this platform, participants gain hands-on experience, connect with experts, and become part of a growing network of environmental actors committed to driving lasting impact within their communities.

The Launch Of The National Beach Cleanup Day in Cameroon

The Cameroon National Beach Cleanup Day was launched on the 19th of January, 2023 by the Association of Community Awareness (ASCOA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and the Government of the southwest region of the country.

Sex Education for Women Saves Lives

In Cameroon, the number of teenage pregnancies each year remains high and often exacerbate ill-health and poverty in young women. 12% of all live births are from adolescents. Health outcomes for both mother and baby are much worse for teen mums. Abortion, which is the other side of the coin, also carries risks as girls often use homemade means of inducing abortion that are not medically safe.
